Rehabilitation Project

In the fall of 2002, the school’s roof and underlying structures were restored with the help of a matching grant from Connectciut’s Historic Restoration Fund and donations from the residents in the Simsbury Road neighborhood around the school. Now with the interior protected from the elements, a hard working group of volunteers, led by Dr. William Jones, has been working on the rehabilitation of the interior of the Southwest District School.
